EGM 2015 – Committee Updates

Cardiff Castle Garrison held an EGM on 15th August to discuss several changes to our committee.

Cat Camacho stepped down as Secretary and Colin Edwards-Jones stepped down as Combat Captain. Due to these changes, there was a committee role reorganisation which resulted in the replacement of the Archery Captain and Combat Captain posts with a single Training and Displays Officer post, and the creation of a Social Media Officer post.

Garrison’s committee is now as follows, with the changed positions highlighted in bold.

Chairman – Alice Evans

Secretary – Matthew Cunnah

Treasurer – Sally Byrne

Living History Officer – Jayne Lutwyche

Training and Displays Officer – Sam Steele

Social Media Officer – Cat Camacho

Health and Safety Officer – Kelsey Dronfield

Membership Officer – Miriam Griffiths

We’ve had some great times with our previous committee and are really looking forward to the future with our new reorganised members.

Annual General Meeting 2015

Our Annual General Meeting 2015 was held in Cardiff on 26th April, as a result we have some new committee members and some new ideas for the group.

We will be arranging extra support for those who work on set up and take down for events. Without the hard work of those who give their time to the group to set and strike camp our events wouldn’t happen so we will be trying to offer them a token of our appreciation.

Membership rates have been altered for the first time in a decade:

Price increases were discussed at the last AGM and agreed, so these price increases are to be paid for this year’s membership (2015-16).

£12 general adult membership

£9 concessions

£7 child membership (under 16)

£30 family membership (up to 2 adults and 2 children)

The option to indicate gender has also been removed from our forms.
